Revenant is a two-piece alternative rock band from Cardiff, South Wales. Playing in numerous bands over the years, the two have come together to combine their influences of alternative, post rock, progressive, indie and electronica. Supporting many artists around the club circuit in Wales, their debut headline show will be a cumulative effort of all the knowledge of live performance they have gained over their short time as an outfit.

Citing major influences such as Arcane Roots, Biffy Clyro, Thrice and Black Peaks, the bands' music has heavy hard hitting sections combined with an almost lullaby feel while keeping the audience anticipating whether the next song will be a heart wrencher or a pit opener.

In celebration of the launch of their self produced debut EP: Refractions, the band are using the motive of “Small Scale Arena” they aim to bring the best aspects of a large scale arena show to an intimate experience while keeping the production value and ambitious scale.

Joining them will be Sleep Outside, Cardiff Celtic Emo legends. Sleep Outside have solidified themselves in the Welsh alternative scene as a band not afraid to push the boundaries. They combine 00s emo with heavy guitars, catchy choruses and mathy time signatures all while delivering a powerful and engaging live show which will keep the audience questioning where the music will take them next.

Also on the bill are none other than Lonesome, the five piece mammoth from Peterborough. Revenant opened for Lonesome near the very beginning of their career, and the two bands had an instant love and mutual respect for each other's music. Lonesome brings a unique blend of post rock with massive walls of sound, dynamic rhythms, and out of this world vocal lines that weave dream-like melodies into heart-wrenching screams. The band is on the cusp of releasing a brand-new album which has been a labor of love and is sure to not disappoint.

This show is taking place at Exit 7 in the Utilita Arena Cardiff. Tickets on sale from 10am, Fri 14 June.
